Modification to Hyd Controls
The hyd mod was accomplished because of the problem that arose when I was running my wood chipper. I tapped the pressures line into the aux hyd line coming from the 3 pt. box. The return line, I tapped into the drain line for the 3 pth system. All worked well as long as the hyd. Feeder did not get jammed and stop the flow of hyd fluid. When this happened the 3 pt thought it should raise. That is because the lift handle had to be in the raise position in order to get flow through aux outlet to run the feed for the chipper. (Not a good thing). So, I installed a selector valve prior to the 3 pth. box. Routed one side to the 3 pt and the other to another aux hyd outlet. In order to protect the hyd. pump, I installed a pressure relief valve set at 2200 psi. before the selector valve. The bypass for that valve is tapped into the drain line for the 3pth box which I use for the return line from the chipper. Everything works just fine now.
Tool Box
The tool box is made from ½" plywood. The sides, which serves as the mounts are cut to fit the ROP bars. I used two of the bolts that hold the fender to secure the box. Make sure you get the box high enough to let the 3 pt arms raise all the way. Unfortunately I got mine about ½" to low. I had to set my stop for the 3 pt so that they would not hit the box.
Exhaust Mod
The exhaust mod was to clear the FEL. I used 1 ½" black iron pipe, a couple elbows and a couple circulator flanges for a hot water furnace. The flanges fit almost perfectly. I had to dremmel the bolt holes about 1/16" to narrow the pattern.
